The Octagon Room, Orleans House

Orleans House was built for diplomat James Johnston by the architect John James in 1710. The Baroque Octagon Room was then built in 1721 by James Gibbs as a place to entertain Georgian Royalty. It is now a popular wedding venue. Portraits of the interior and exterior were commissioned by the sister of the Groom getting married here as a wedding gift.
