Octagon Room – Orleans House

I rather enjoyed drawing this beautiful Baroque interior. Even more so because I drew it from our own little Octagon here on the Quantocks (see earlier post). It was initially drawn as part of a map which was commissioned as a gift for two newly weds who were holding their ceremony here.

The Octagon Room is an extension of Orleans House in Twickenham. Built in 1721 to entertain the Georgian Royalty.

This and several more maps are coming soon to our online portfolio.
